    7. Additional recommended products
Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment. We recommend using these products with each wash.
    8. How the recommended temperature is measured
Ambient temperature is thermally neutral: the user feels neither hot nor cold. Use temperature, in accordance with standard ISO 11079, under the following conditions: Walking at 4 km/h, no wind, cloudy. Jacket worn together with: upper body: long-sleeved T-shirt + shirt + sleeveless down gilet / lower body: tights + fleece base layer + trousers / head: chapka + hood / hands: under-gloves + gloves / feet: ski socks + boots.
    9. Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. A waterproof rating of 2000 mm means the fabric can withstand the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (the equivalent of a rain shower lasting for two hours).
    10. Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. This is achieved through a treatment applied to the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended with each wash). Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water repellent treatment.

I already have a number of down winter jackets from top end companies but wanted one which was waterproof so I didn't need to take an additional layer. The quality of build and design is as good as any jacket 2-3x the price. Very warm on its own and very waterproof. Still beading after an hour of standing watching kids football. Sizing is very large so for the UK you could go a size smaller as it is unlikely you would need additional down layers. Not really suitable for activity as it is very warm and heavy but perfect for watching sports or heading out for the evening. Been comparing this with NF, ME, MH and Canada Goose offerings and is equally as good for fraction of the price. I feel very snug and smug when wearing this. People get very envious.

I bought this for my partners birthday. Did a lot of research and chose this because of the fact it was down filled and waterproof. It was a immediate success for the inclement Scottish winter weather, kept him very warm and kept the rain out whilst looking very stylish. After wearing it or a week in Scotland it was then taken on a ski holiday in Switzerland and was actually fount to be too warm. This made him very damp with sweat which meant he was cold when we stopped for coffee/lunch till he dried out.
Looked good and was very warm
Too warm for a skiing holiday in Feb.

I live in Calgary it is often below -20 and some times - 30. Though I have never hung about in -30 temperatures This Jacket has kept me toasty all the time in Canada so far. It was my first winter wearing it. and I only used it for three months. Soi I cant tell you how it will be over a long time. The problem is the zips are have not broken but the fabric tabs are weak and break off quickly. The zips with the crap tabs are already fiddly when wearing gloves so without tabs its a real problem, as removing gloves is agony in these temperatures. The problem is easy to sort. other improvements would be a all the pockets should zip, and a snow skirt. But it really if a great JACKET all the same.
      Warm and well built
The zips are not robust enough or large enough to
