    • Long valve leads to more flat

      31/12/2017
      Dipan (India)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The valve being too long on my bike Btwin fc 700 and no round ring like structure to fix the valve with the rim (the joke of insertion of valve us off center on the rim) the valve remains unsteady from inside. Thus meads to the puncture on the inner tube near the attachment of the valve. 48 mm should suffice
      Response of the brand

      Hello Dipan,

Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. The 80mm valve is for aero rims. As you said you can go for the 48mm innertubes. For future reference here is the link (https://www.decathlon.in/p/8311101_700x25-32-inner-tube-presta.html#/4431-174-velo_valve

    • Not the best valve fit

      26/06/2017
      LEE (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
After fitting the inner tube, replacing the tyre and starting to ride again, a noise started to emit from my front wheel which was not present before changing the tube. Every time I rode over the slightest surface bump the noise would happen. On closer inspection the issue was that the valve was too skinny for the opening on the wheel rim so was moving around and hitting the rim over every little bump. This could be solved with a threaded valve rather than the smooth finish to tighten the valve to the rim and mitigate the issue. Aside from that function seems fine. I replaced as soon as i got home as I couldn't live with the noise.
      Response of the brand
Thanks for your review. The valve is particularly long and better suited to deep sectioned rims. If your rims are shallow and the hole is wider than 6.5mm then there may be a risk of some noise but it is the first feedback of this nature we've had with this item.
I guess that a 48mm valve may be a better bet.
Either way, if you're noisy then please feel free to return them to us and we will gladly exchange them for you as I can empathise with you relating to persistent and annoying sounds when road cycling.

    • 700x18/25 Inner Tube - 80 mm Presta Valve

I have had no problems with this tube at all. The only comment I would make is that I asked a member of the cycling team to advise which tube I needed for the bike I had just purchased. I was advised on this tube with an 80mm valve. On reflection, I clearly didn't need a valve of this length but its not a problem.
    • Terrible - 4flats in 2 rides!!

Currently used 4 inner tubes all of which have failed, 2 within 5 minutes of starting rides, the others have lasted 10 and 30 miles - newish tyres checked for debris and nothing. Will not be buying again and would certainly not recommend. Similar prices tubes available of a much higher quality
      Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that you had so many punctures within such a short space of time. As a fellow road cyclist I can really empathise.
There are so many factors which can cause punctures that it is hard to tell sometimes what seems to be the root cause but what is certain is that an object of some sort is penetrating through and piercing or pinching the tube. It may be worth checking the rim tape again or having a closer inspection inside the tyre to double check and make sure that a very small (and hard to spot) object is not causing the issue which may be embedded in the tyre.
If of course you're not confident with the remaining innertubes, then please do not hesitate to return them to us for a refund.
