  2. Recommendations for use
    1. Screw the canister into the head piece in order to pierce the canister and make it ready for use. 2. Hold the canister by the plastic protective part to protect your hands from the canister cooling down while inflating. 3. Position the head piece onto the valve very straight and push firmly to insert the valve into the head and release the air.
  3. Puncture tips
With your other hand, we recommend pushing on the outside of the tyre at the valve to prevent the valve from going into the tyre when you push the inflation nozzle down.

  • CO2 Cartridge Tri-Pack - 16g

    Keith (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
I bought the cartridges as they came up as recommended when I bought my new road bike but discussions with cycling friends since have suggested that they are not good for the tyres & I should refrain from using them if I can. I would only use one in an emergency anyway but now I don't know whether I should...
    Response of the brand
Thank you for your question regarding the CO2 inflating system. They are fine to use to inflate your innertubes and are perfect to quickly inflate a road tyre post-puncture when out and about. When you return home from your ride, deflate your tyres and re-inflate with air using a traditional pump as CO2 can leak out at a faster rate. Other than that, they're very useful indeed and very widely used.
I hope this helps clear up any concerns you may have.

I have used these ever since I converted to tubeless around 4yrs ago. Happily these used to be really cheap in Decathlon (£7.99 for 10 at one stage) but the recent price hike was a surprise (now £3.99 for 3!). Now, I don't much about the price of CO2 these days but from what I hear there is plenty of it around and its on the increase! Price aside, they do the job well and the inflator is simple but effective.

Budget gas, does what it needs to and so recommend
  • Decathlon CO2 cartridge 16g

Used for 3 to 6 months
More than sufficient to fill a 700c 23mm road tyre. Just remember to double check your tyre for flints and cuts before inflating with C02. Probably best used with a new inner tube i.e. not a newly patched one out on the road.
Much quicker than using a mini-pump road side.

Aye what can I say, blows up your tyre
Puts air into your tyre quickly
    Not enough for a 700 X 35 tyre
