Product feature
  1. Why can't you free dive with the Easybreath mask?
The volume of air contained in the Easybreath is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask; from 1 m deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterwards. However, with the Easybreath this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.
  2. Why isn't the snorkel of the Easybreath very long?
Contrary to what some may think, the snorkel of the Easybreath sticks out of the water more than a traditional snorkel. A traditional snorkel seems longer because it starts from the mouth and not the top of the head like the Easybreath. To guarantee respiration that meets current standards, we cannot make the snorkel any longer.
  3. What size Easybreath should I choose?
The Easybreath is available in 2 sizes which cover 90% of faces. Children aged over 10, teenagers and women should opt for the S/M size, and men for the M/L size. To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face. There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. More details: http://www.tribord.tm.fr/conseils/comment-choisir-la-taille-de-son-masque-easybreathr
  4. Why two sizes instead of four?
Sizes S/M and M/L cover 90% of face sizes of people aged over 10. Therefore, sizes XS and L/XL have been discontinued. This optimisation will enable us to reduce the price of the Easybreath.
  5. Can I use the Easybreath if I have a beard?
Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Easybreath because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.
  6. How does the exclusive anti-fogging concept work?
It works best in waters over 18°C and is based on the fact that the fresh air breathed in is projected onto the front window before reaching the nose or mouth. The damp air that you breathe out is expelled through the side connections made of plastic and then silicone, which channel the air in the snorkel. In this way, the air constantly renewed. This is the same principle as the ventilation of your car windscreen.
  7. How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?
It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.
  8. What precautions should I take with my Easybreath mask?
Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your Easybreath mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
  9. Can I repair my Easybreath mask if it breaks?
YES, extend the lifespan of your Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. Spare parts can also be purchased online at: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/fr/atelier/produit/1885088 . Part codes: strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8342901, white cover - 8363395.

love this snorkel. Easy to use even if your a beginner. Only down side i have found is that if on a stone beach it can get small stone stuck in the white piece at the front and very hard to get out, doesn't effect it working but is a little annoying.
  • Fab, simply fab.

I have a dodgy jaw, having had it reset once after it dislocated. Gripping a normal snorkel between my teeth makes it ache horribly but this new mask has completely resolved the problem. It is so comfortable, no leaks at all and gives such a feeling of freedom. What a great buy! We are off on holiday in a few weeks and my husband bought it for me as a birthday present. I have tried it out in a swimming pool and now can't wait to get amongst the turtles in the Indian Ocean.
  • Fogging...Fullface mask valve problem

If your mask fogs up it is probably because the small almost see-through valve has fallen out when you washed it!!..I only noticed when a friend of mine pointed out that I only had one!..another design fault that needs to be addressed. What shame as the basic idea of the full face mask is brilliant but it can only work if all the components are of good quality.
My 2 emails to the customer service dept still remain without a response...thats not really good enough!! If you are considering buying one I sugggest that you read the reviews & possibly purchase from another providered that might have solved this problem & has a fold down style breathing tube!!

  • Best mask ever

  • Perfect gear for comfortable snorkelling

I got this mask because I tried (traditional) snorkel mask (for the first time) in a high pressure environment and that did NOT go well. I decided for my next snorkelling adventure I was not going through that again and more importantly, not doing that to my sister (who is a non swimmer). So I got 2 masks (along with a life vest) and it was the BEST purchase I made. The mask MADE my French Polynesia holiday worthwhile.
No fogging, no pressure on the mouth from biting down, more visibility (almost like having side view mirrors - which was super helpful), very minimal fogging, easy drain when (after a couple of hours) a bit of water gets in, you're SUPER easy to spot in the water and we were able to hold conversations and laugh at each other while snorkelling!
You'll know when you've (unintentionally) put your head too far under water, the stopper does its job and there's no more air and no water getting in. If the plan is to fully submerge yourself, there will be some pressure on your face as the mask is full of air.
If you're more concerned about your vanity than the excitement that awaits you below the surface, this may not be the mask for you; you may run the risk of looking a bit odd - people will stare (and idiots will even laugh). That is until they realise you can talk and laugh and stay in the water much longer with less stress than using the conventional masks ;-)
Other than the loosening of the strap and constant adjustments, I had NO issues. I'm proactively hunting for these masks in black - I've seen them!! *hint hint Decathlon and Tribord*
