Product feature
  1. Why can't you free dive with the Easybreath mask?
The volume of air contained in the Easybreath is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask; from 1 m deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterwards. However, with the Easybreath this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.
  2. Why isn't the snorkel of the Easybreath very long?
Contrary to what some may think, the snorkel of the Easybreath sticks out of the water more than a traditional snorkel. A traditional snorkel seems longer because it starts from the mouth and not the top of the head like the Easybreath. To guarantee respiration that meets current standards, we cannot make the snorkel any longer.
  3. What size Easybreath should I choose?
The Easybreath is available in 2 sizes which cover 90% of faces. Children aged over 10, teenagers and women should opt for the S/M size, and men for the M/L size. To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face. There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. More details: http://www.tribord.tm.fr/conseils/comment-choisir-la-taille-de-son-masque-easybreathr
  4. Why two sizes instead of four?
Sizes S/M and M/L cover 90% of face sizes of people aged over 10. Therefore, sizes XS and L/XL have been discontinued. This optimisation will enable us to reduce the price of the Easybreath.
  5. Can I use the Easybreath if I have a beard?
Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Easybreath because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.
  6. How does the exclusive anti-fogging concept work?
It works best in waters over 18°C and is based on the fact that the fresh air breathed in is projected onto the front window before reaching the nose or mouth. The damp air that you breathe out is expelled through the side connections made of plastic and then silicone, which channel the air in the snorkel. In this way, the air constantly renewed. This is the same principle as the ventilation of your car windscreen.
  7. How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?
It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.
  8. What precautions should I take with my Easybreath mask?
Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your Easybreath mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
  9. Can I repair my Easybreath mask if it breaks?
YES, extend the lifespan of your Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. Spare parts can also be purchased online at: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/fr/atelier/produit/1885088 . Part codes: strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8342901, white cover - 8363395.

  • Snorkelling made easy

    Terence (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 2 years
Just returned from Mexico where we used this snorkel in the sea, and could see everything plain as day.My wife has one and loves it as well.Asked by numerous people where they were purchased.
  • Flawless - A must-have for snorkeling

    Mike (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
As avid fans of snorkeling when on holiday, myself and my wife decide to purchase these for our honeymoon trip to the Caribbean as we didn't want to miss out on all of the beautiful underwater scenery.

We did have standard mask/mouthpiece combinations, but when we saw these at our local decathlon we decided to give them a try. We were never huge fans of a bulky mouthpiece and only being able to breath through our mouths, let alone fogging goggles and leaky areas.

We used these masks around 4 times whilst on our holiday and not once did they let any water in. They fit snugly and extremely comfortable around your face, providing the ability to breath normally though both your mouth and nose. As you would expect, it offers some resistance when breathing due to the one-way valve, but once you relax and breath slower this becomes effortless and comfortable.

Vision is excellent, providing a clear view of the sea-life. The shape of the mask does make it difficult to see directly to your side because of distortion, so I often failed to spot my wife waving at me as she pointed out some exciting marine life.

This mask also has the option for a waterproof action camera mount (I used a GoPro 3+) which is great for recording all your snorkeling memories, although this is sold separately for a small cost.

Overall we were both extremely satisfied with these masks. They never fogged, provided clear vision, remained watertight, easier to breathe in and were just more comfortable overall. As some people have said, their size is their only downside when it comes to packing things for holiday, but it's a small sacrifice for the better snorkeling experience gained.
  • Very Easy Snorkelling

    Dominic (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Im not a pro snorkeler just a bit on holiday. Pros: If you find snorkelling dounting in deep water and worried about getting a mouth full of water when your tube gets water in. This mask will solve your problem it's so hassle free put your face in and your off and breath like normal. This is a big thing for me just breathing through mouth isn't natural to me and I get tired easy and out of breath and this solves that. The view is great also no fogging at all.
Cons: Its so big and takes a lot more room in baggage as I would like, not a big deal but something to think about. I usually just take hand luggage and this was around 30% of my space. Secondly the ability to go down in the water is a no chance, i mean not even I meter down. It sucks to your face, plus the tube doesn't like it and you need to remember to breathe out or it's scary when you can't breathe coming up. But that being said novice snorkelers arnt going down. Just annoying when I just wanted to go a little bit more and couldn't. But the pros deffo out way the cons.

  • SUBEA Easybreath Mask

    Dave (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I had previously used a quite expensive snorkel and mask, however this product renders the old gear redundant. What a fantastic mask these are. My wife thought about having one first and I sniggered a bit, but after trying in the store I ended up buying one myself!! And I am glad I did. I would highly recommend this mask to both beginners and experienced snorkellers alike.
