    Product feature
    1. Why can't you free dive with the Easybreath mask?
The volume of air contained in the Easybreath is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask; from 1 m deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterwards. However, with the Easybreath this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.
    2. Why isn't the snorkel of the Easybreath very long?
Contrary to what some may think, the snorkel of the Easybreath sticks out of the water more than a traditional snorkel. A traditional snorkel seems longer because it starts from the mouth and not the top of the head like the Easybreath. To guarantee respiration that meets current standards, we cannot make the snorkel any longer.
    3. What size Easybreath should I choose?
The Easybreath is available in 2 sizes which cover 90% of faces. Children aged over 10, teenagers and women should opt for the S/M size, and men for the M/L size. To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face. There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. More details: http://www.tribord.tm.fr/conseils/comment-choisir-la-taille-de-son-masque-easybreathr
    4. Why two sizes instead of four?
Sizes S/M and M/L cover 90% of face sizes of people aged over 10. Therefore, sizes XS and L/XL have been discontinued. This optimisation will enable us to reduce the price of the Easybreath.
    5. Can I use the Easybreath if I have a beard?
Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Easybreath because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.
    6. How does the exclusive anti-fogging concept work?
It works best in waters over 18°C and is based on the fact that the fresh air breathed in is projected onto the front window before reaching the nose or mouth. The damp air that you breathe out is expelled through the side connections made of plastic and then silicone, which channel the air in the snorkel. In this way, the air constantly renewed. This is the same principle as the ventilation of your car windscreen.
    7. How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?
It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.
    8. What precautions should I take with my Easybreath mask?
Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your Easybreath mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
    9. Can I repair my Easybreath mask if it breaks?
YES, extend the lifespan of your Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. Spare parts can also be purchased online at: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/fr/atelier/produit/1885088 . Part codes: strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8342901, white cover - 8363395.

    • great

Used for 7 to 12 months
used this on 2 holidays this year my partner suffers from claustrophobic but love using it no fear at all
    • Love it....

      Martin (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Now I've had chance to use it time for a review....
Lets get the negatives out of the way first....the way it looks and this is only because its different to the more traditional style and until people get use to it becoming the norm they stare a bit.
Everything else is positive, I like you read the reviews but wasn't 100% sure but the first time i put my face in the water i was impressed...this was used in the 28C waters off of Cyprus and a test form a more tropical location next year...if it failed to impress the more traditional style would be going next year...but this will be coming.
Firstly so comfortable, no rubbers straps pulling at your hair as they are fabric and no snorkel to bite down on giving you jaw ache after a while. It is really comfortable on your face, just breath as normal you can even talk with your face underwater, visibility is great although if using the optional action camera mount with a standard camera in a floaty it does slightly restrict your forward vision. You can surface dive to, i didn't find it uncomfortable at all at the 3.5m i went to (average depth of the bay i was in) the only issue is there is more air than a normal mask hence its a bit more buoyant and takes a little more effort to stay down, due to the design of the mask you cant pinch your nose to equalise ear pressure but i could never do it anyway with a normal mask. The snorkel part NEVER let any water in, swimming under water normally or upside down nothing not a drop!
The mask is not quite neutral buoyant when FULL of water so slowly sinks if you take it off and put it in the water...if you trap a bit of air in the orange part of the snorkel it will float and if you have a gopro with a floaty on it definitely float.
So for someone who got on with the traditional style i loved this...the comfort AND you don't mind passing it round to friends because you don't have to share something that goes it your mouth.
