    Product feature
    1. Suitable clothing
The body produces heat during exercise, which is preserved thanks to the thermal insulation of the outfit. If the clothing is unfit for this purpose, the body will cool down and the blood flow to the hands will drop in order to keep the central core warm. The gloves and clothing should therefore be suitable for their intended use to keep hands comfortable. If you're not sure, it's always best to select a pair of hiking gloves that are slightly too big rather than too small.
    2. Recommended temperature rating = 8°C
The ambient temperature at which 100% testers claimed that they felt comfortable. This is 8°C for these gloves.
    3. Limit temperature rating = 3°C
Corresponds to the ambient temperature that 90% of testers considered acceptable. This is 3°C for these gloves
    4. How is the temperature rating measured?
All our gloves are lab-tested on a thermal hand. The temperature ratings are valid when walking and wearing clothes designed for walking. The active body produces heat, which is retained due to the insulation of the outfit. If the clothes are not suitable, the body cools down and the blood flow to the hands decreases in order to retain the warmth in the central core. The recommended and limit temperature ratings are based on 23 testers for temperatures from 5°C to -20°C and a wind of 10 km/h.
    5. Dexterity of the glove
The dexterity of a glove is its ability to manipulate objects. Our gloves have been scored in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The nearer the glove's dexterity rating gets to 5, the closer the manipulation when wearing the glove gets to that of a bare hand. In particular, we tested how easy it is to get a jacket on and open it with the gloves.

    • Did not keep my hands warm

      Merilyn (Singapore)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
My friend and I got a pair each and we agreed that it was useless for what it was supposed to do.
      Response of the brand
      Hi Merilyn,
I’m sorry to hear that you and your friend did not find comfort in our Explor 100 Trekking Journey Gloves . As this gloves are designed to protect your hands from the cold while Hiking and/or Trekking with the recommended conditions for use between 8°C to 3°C.
All our gloves are laboratory tested on a thermal hand. The stated comfort ambient temperature is at 8°C to the limit ambient temperature is at 3°C for Explor 100 Trekking Journey Gloves, and are valid when walking and wearing clothes suitable for the activity. The body produces heat during exercise, which is preserved thanks to the thermal insulation of the outfit. If the clothes are not specially adapted, the body cools down, and the blood flowing through the hands will decrease in order to retain the warmth in the core of the body. And as each person body tolerance of cold is felt differently we can only use the testers average body ’  tolerance to gauge the comfort limit of the gloves for the general users. The gloves and clothing should therefore be adapted for the person body tolerance and as well as the activity to keep the hands and body comfortable. Alternative, you could also consider our Explor 500 (1°C to -4°C) and Trek 500 (-8°C to -14°C) gloves which are designed to keep you warmer.

Feel free to approach me and/or our friendly advisors which we could give you some advices and tips on proper layering for the cold, and a walkthrough on our warm products which will keep you warm and cozy.
      Yours sincerely,
      AndrewYour helpful trekking guide

      Average product.
Better try the higher end models.
    • Convenient gloves for the price

      Shekhoo (India)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The gloves are very convenient, as they are light and hardly take any space in the bag. Reasonably warm and comfortable. I use them for cycling.
    • Too Good For Its Price

      ROHAN (India)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Used this at between 3-7 degrees temperatures. Works brilliantly.
    • Warm & Easy to Grip

      Krishna D. Manna (India)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
It is made of fleece and serves the purpose well. It's quite warm and better suits the condition where temperature is not freezing. It is also easy to grip trekking pole and camera while keeping it on.
