    Product feature
    1. Field tests
All our backpacks are tested in the field by users who represent the target market under conditions identical to those found in typical use. Our Field Test Missions team up our product managers with people not affiliated with QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products.
    2. Laboratory tests
Components are approved in laboratory tests, including: fabric, buckles, webbing, foam, zips, etc. Fabrics are tested for: resistance to wear, tearing, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: The backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking through thousands of cycles.
    3. 10-year technical partnership guarantee
The heavy stitching research and development department, Quechua's partner for researching and testing its components and assemblies, conducted tests simulating backpack ageing. The tests focused on components, seams and the end product. As a result of these tests, Quechua can guarantee all bags tested for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase indicated on the sales receipt.
    4. 10-year guarantee, conditions
The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt. If the product is covered by the warranted, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
    5. How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
    6. How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, the belt should be placed around the waist. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
    7. How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece close to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. Put the water bladder in the compartment that is usually provided
    8. Environmental measurements
Oxylane and Quechua have decided to inform you of the environmental impact of its hiking backpacks over their entire lifespan. This work follows an experiment that began in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. Scores ranging from A to E were awarded based on comparisons between Quechua's backpacks only. Details on this project and the calculation methods used are available at http://www.oxylane.com/20/demarche-environnementale

    • Great pack for smaller adults

I am not a teenager but I am a petite lady of just over 5ft. This pack was perfect for me. Very easy to wear, supportive straps and a great colour. It seems well made and of good quality. I would recommend this pack for teenagers and small adults. I suspect that my kids will borrow this when they go out with d of e expeditions.

I am adult and i bought this bag in addition to my 70L which turns out to be too big for weekend or 2-4 day packing. This is idle one with Pole strings and few small pockets. Not too big not too small just serves the purpose.
      Front opening of bag
No rain cover or option to buy it
    • Great 1st bag

I bought this for my 11year old. Little bit big but she continues to grow so be soon the perfect size for her. We haven't fully tested it out with her full camping gear but so far so good.

My only 2 downsides are the full front zip opening to the bag and no raincover or option to buy on that fits perfectly. I rated it 4 stars mainly due to not fully testing it out yet but will be doing shortly.
