Just did the Great North Run (half marathon) without any problems. Will definitely buy from Decathlon next time.
      Plenty of support
Laces could be a little longer
    • Disappointing durability, meaningless guarantee

After less than a year these shoes (bought in 2015) developed holes near the big toe. Not right at the end but in the material just before the reinforced toe-cap. It appears that the latest model has added reinforcement to this area. They are not too tight and there is space between my toes and the end of the shoe to allow for slide when running. They are a bigger size than my everyday shoes. They have been worn for one 5 km run per week, nothing more - the soles show next to no sign of wear. So holes developed after approx. 250 km of running - compare that to the Decathlon Advice Guide which says that such shoes should last for 1500-2000 km. Yes, I have been tested to check that a neutral shoe was right for me. I agree with other reviewers in that they are comfortable shoes and have had no problems with my feet at any time whilst using them. I should point out that my shoes do not normally develop holes at the toes - the reason I have to discard shoes normally is wear on the soles / heels. I contacted Decathlon after seeing there was a 2 year guarantee offered but was told it wouldn’t cover my case. The terms of the guarantee don’t seem to be detailed anywhere on the Decathlon site so the guarantee appears to be meaningless.
      durable sole, comfortable, lightweight, supportive
      developed holes after light use

Picked these up after I had to return a pair of the equally excellent 2016 Kiprun SD shoes due to the toe box being just a bit too narrow (I have wide toes). I wear size UK 11 and went for these in size UK 11.5. I have run distances from 5k up to over 8 miles in them so far and found them to be the best running shoes I have owned - that's coming from my last pair of Asics GT2120's which were my holy grail of shoes to date. I'm 6'1" and 16 stone, running mostly on roads. Today I wore them for a sprint triathlon and ran a PB in the 5k run section, on mixed surfaces. They are great shoes and I have no complaints so far - light, comfortable, bright colours equals great visibility, great support and cushioning. May not be ideal for faster runners looking for a lighter/stiffer shoe for racing but great for support/cushioning and heavier runners like moi :)
Light, excellent fit, cushioning and support

    • Snug - may be heavy for the smaller runner.

I bought these Kiprun LD's as a replacement to a pair of Mizuno Wave Inspires so the comparison may differ for other trainers.

I find the Kiprun's very comfortable, I am pretty heavy (105kg) and tall (197cm) but these cope with the bashing they get at the moment. While the Mizuno's with the wave cushioning/support for me were comfortable over a marathon distance, I know that my lighter friends did not get on with them as much.
The Kiprun's use a much thicker sole, so if you are looking for a light snappy shoe, and you are not a lumbering heel smasher, then these may not be for you.

These Kipruns do have a nice feeling being put on in the morning. They feel well made, and the laces each grip snugly as you move up the row of eyelets, which is a random thought, but one I have most early morning runs, so I thought I'd share.
Well Made, very comfortable, great price.
Me none, others may find the heel too thick.
