Product feature
  1. How to choose your glide wax?
Glide wax: The parts of the base designed to glide (tip and tail for a classic ski and the entire base for a skating ski). The wax is heated up on the base of the skis, and the excess scraped off using a plastic scraper. This should be done regularly as it guarantees good glide and a well-maintained base.
  2. What type of traditional waxes can be used for gliding?
Their glide and endurance performances have been improved and now allow you to achieve very satisfactory performances. HC Traditional hydrocarbon-based waxes. Low-cost yet high-performance X-NDM paraffin hybrid wax, used on slightly wet snow.
  3. What type of fluorinated waxes can be used for gliding?
Manufacturers have inserted fluorinated hydrophobic components (that repel water) into their products. This new generation of wax is composed of 2 families LF (Lightly fluorinated) wax.X-NDM paraffin hybrid with low fluorocarbon content, used for slightly wet snow and as training and racing wax. and HF (Highly fluorinated) "High Fluorocarbon" wax. X-NDM paraffin hybrid with very high fluorocarbon content.

  1. Storage advice
At the end of the season, wax your skis before storing them, but do not scrape off the excess as this wax will protect the base over the long storage period.
  2. Product restrictions
All SWIX temperatures are air temperatures in the shade.
  3. Product catchline
Wax with fluorinated hydrocarbons with a relatively low percentage of fluorocarbons, which have a low melting point.
