    Product feature
    1. How can I be sure my jacket will give me proper protection in bad weather?
The Slide 900 jacketwas developed with a rigorous arrangement and assembly to prevent water from entering and to limit the feeling of the wind, to help you cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To check that it is waterproof, this jacket was placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier has to cope with. We approved this product's waterproofing by skiing in different weather conditions for several days.
    2. What is the point of the water repellent property of my jacket?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Slide 900 jacket is equipped with water-repellent components that will prolong its resistance to bad weather. This is an additional technical solution for staying dry for as long as possible on the ski slopes. To remain reliable, this treatment must be renewed regularly using products sold in our stores.
    3. "Coated" jacket: what are the advantages of this coating?
The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by an active body to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.
    4. Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have taped seams?
As well as the waterproof material, sealed seams are incorporated to strengthen the waterproofing of the Slide 900 jacket. These are waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. All the seams on the product are taped seams. They guarantee complete waterproofing in the snow.
    5. What is a membrane and what's it for?
The membrane is a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. It is hydrophilic and blocks the water arriving from the exterior while wicking away the perspiration produced by the body inside. A membrane is essential for staying warm and dry.
    6. How will my ski jacket keep me warm?
We use wadding for insulation to help keep you warm. This polyester-based synthetic material traps air, the quantity of which will depend on the size of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, high-tech or siliconised, each with different properties: warmth, lightness, flexibility, etc.
    7. What is a "breathable" jacket?
It is a product that lets the water vapour produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To see if a fabric is breathable, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat (RET) in a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. RET of the component of Slide 900 <12
    8. How should I dress to avoid feeling cold on the slopes?
To keep warm and dry, use the 3-breathable-layers rule: 1 ski base layer and 1 under-jacket for keeping warm, 1 ski jacket to protect you from bad weather.
    9. How can I prevent snow from getting in when I fall?
The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press studs at the bottom of the ski or snowboard jacket. It prevents snow and air from entering when on the slopes, especially in the event of a fall.
    10. Where can I put my ski pass when taking ski lifts?
You no longer need to get out your ski pass! Your sleeve has a ski pass pocket, allowing you to access lifts quickly.
    11. Durability
We know how much energy is expended during a day's skiing or snowboarding. That’s why we take particular care in choosing all the elements that make up our products to guarantee the best possible protection.Because sharp skis can sometimes damage or cut the lower parts of ski pants or ski jacket epaulettes, Wedze has integrated high-performance reinforcements to prevent tearing to the maximum
    12. Storm cuffs
Your ski jacket features cuffs at the wrists. They prevent unpleasant cold draughts and snow from getting inside in the event of a fall.
    13. RECCO® system
The RECCO® search and rescue system features dual technology which supports the majority of ski rescue teams. The RECCO® detector used by rescue teams emits a directional signal. The RECCO® reflector built into the jacket returns the signal. This generates an audible sound which guides rescue personnel directly to the person needing assistance. Before setting out, make sure you get the information you need from the professionals of the resort
    14. 3D hood
Fed up with your hood falling onto your nose, preventing you from looking left and right? Wed'ze therefore added a hood to its ski and snowboard jackets, which can be removed with a zip, has a double tightening system and is designed to follow the movements of your head, giving you an unobstructed view of the ski slopes.
    15. Goggle wipe
This insert made of a soft and very absorbent high-tech fabric effectively wipes water drops from your ski goggles without scratching the lenses.
    16. Ski pass pocket
You no longer need to get your ski pass out because your sleeve has a ski pass pocket to allow you to access the cable cars quickly.
    17. Snow skirt
The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press snaps at the bottom of the ski or snowboard jacket. It prevents snow and air from getting in when skiing and especially in case of a fall.
    18. Audio output
The jacket features an Audio output in the inside pocket for passing a hands-free phone kit, audio cable for listening to music, etc.
    19. Care instructions
To optimise your jacket's performance and durability, we advise the following: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No fabric softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can re-waterproof the outer fabric using an aerosol waterproofing spray for fabric. Read the care tag carefully.

    • Just buy it

      Paul (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great jacket which have used for two weeks skiing in blizzards, rain, sun, snow, hot days and cold days. NO issues at all
The hood will not fit over a helmet but why would you do that anyway?
The zips work easily and do not jam and are water sealed.
      Love it
    • Zip scratches your face

      F (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The fabric in the collar that ends up in contact with your face it’s like sand paper, and worst of all if you unzip the jacket (even a small bit) the unprotected pointy end of the zip ends up scratching your face because of the way the collar is constructed ( it makes it point inwards)

If you’re buying this make sure you add a face mask, necky, snood... (not great for not that cold days)

      Response of the brand
      Dear M. Waples,

I'm sorry to hear you had issues with the jacket staying dry in the rain. Usually a 10,000mm membrane will protect you from moderate to heavy rain. Could you give me more details of the conditions in which you were using the jacket? This will help me better understand what could have happened.

Please feel free to return the jacket to one of our Decathlon stores or by mail. You can find more details here about the return process:

We will make sure Wed'ze gets a chance to see this jacket to better understand if this particular item was faulty or if there is a production issue on the product.

      Thank you,
      Have a nice day,
