    Product feature
    1. Footwear waterproofing test
Tested in laboratory and in use, these shoes, equipped with a Waterproof membrane, will ensure optimal impermeability and breathability. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
    2. 3 levels of waterproofness
In our waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexions (approximately 4 km walk) 4000 flexions (approximately 8 km walk) 8000 flexions (approximately 16 km walk). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
    3. Shoe waterproofing level
The TREK 900 shoe is validated on the impermeability test in 8000 flexions or 16 km walk in water up to mid-upper.
    4. Laboratory tests
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: - attachment of eyelets and webbing, - sole assembly, - toxicology, - UV resistance, - sole and upper component abrasion, - accelerated ageing.
    5. Care instructions
Use a brush and/or a sponge to clean the shoe and remove dirt or mud residue. Then, air dry away from a heat source. Finish with a nourishing cream to keep good leather flexibility and extend the lifespan of the shoe.
    6. Buying tips
Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the heel seating (the heel does not or hardly slips) and the front of the foot while going downhill (the toes do not touch the front of the shoe). Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.

    • Solid trekking shoes

      Kenneth (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I have only been on four walks so far with these boots. Up to now I am completely satisfied with them. Rugged, comfortable, supportive and waterproof. For the price £120, I am very impressed.
    • Well Made boots

      Frank (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Not yet worn in anger, but feel a hood fit. Very solid construction with a good quality vibram sole , protective strip above sole.
The only area where not quite perfect are the upper cleats , which are not cast items.
