    3. Poles, pegs
Aluminium Ø 10.25 mm DAC Featherlite DAC Featherlite NSL lightweight and resistant to breakage and frost. Tent pegs: heavy duty and lightweight aluminium DAC corner stakes.
    4. Setting up/taking down
Extremely quick assembly or disassembly. The double-roof and the room are pre-assembled. Poles are attached to sleeves in tent, so you can save precious time when pitching. Dismantling is equally as rapid. To store the tent in the cover, simply attach the poles together in elastics (once folded), fold up the tent until it's roughly the width of the cover and then tightly roll up the tent and poles.
    5. Waterproofing
Quechua tents are validated in the laboratory (tent mounted under 200 litres/metre² per hour for 4 hours, the equivalent of a tropical rainfall), as well as in field test missions. 40 denier polyester (PE) double roof, coated polyurethane (inside) & silicone outer, PE 75D room mat. Seams sealed with heat-sealed strips. Room in PE 40D breathable and water-repellent, partly made of mosquito net, to avoid contact with condensation drops.
    6. Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind. To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 70km/h, measured near ground level.
    7. Ventilation and condensation prevention
Bedroom with mosquito netting for ventilation and sections in water repellent fabric to protect against condensation and drafts. Large ventilation at the front of the double roof of the tent, as well as ventilation at the feet. In order to limit the condensation inside your tent, the stretched canvas must be properly installed, without excess tension. The use of ventilation and good air circulation limits the humidity inside your tent.
    8. Sun protection
The flysheet fabric filters UV rays with an UPF of 30. Please note: a large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin.
    9. Ecodesign
Complete tent made out of 20% recycled material, reduces the environmental impact of the product. Double roof made up of 50% recycled materials. The bedroom is made of a "mass dyed" component that reduces the amount of water used. The poles are coloured thanks to an innovative anodising which eliminates the use of nitric and phosphoric acids.
    10. Guarantee / Customer Service

    • Great value, 4 man tent

      lucy (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
We bought this tent for cycle touring with our two children. For it’s pitched size it packs up pretty small, small enough to strap to the back of a bike, and is light when compared to similar other tents on the market. It was quick to pitch and both the sleeping compartment and porch are roomy. The fabrics, poles and pegs all feel good quality and being able to open the back for through venting is a real perk. We have only pitched it so far in fine weather, so I can’t comment on it’s stability, but it feels pretty firm when pitched. Overall I have been really pleasantly surprised with the space and quality of this tent and would thoroughly recommend it to others looking for something similar.
    • Great tent

Extremely light and small package for the large amount of space it provides when up. Perfect for cycle touring/backpacking. Definitely worth buying the groundsheet to go with it, as there is a big living area space that needs to be covered to make it useful. Only down side is that it is a very light coloured material, making it harder to get to sleep - a darker material would have been better.
    • Great tent . Minimal criticsms

      Paul (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
I bought this tent for a month tour of New Zealand. I shopped around and on paper this ticked ALL the boxes. I could not find a tent like this anywhere. For a 4 pesron tent this is extremely light. Though it was just me using it.. The tent is in two compartments. This allowed me and all my gear in the living compartment. This was an XL ultralight cot and 5 paniers. The living compartment was just the right length to take the cot and it left me space either side to put my paniers and access all of my gear directly. The storage compartment is the other main reason why I bought this tent as it is just high enough to take a 51cm 29"er mountain bike standing up and still giving me room to get into the tent door quite easily. We were not planning on encountering the 100kmph+ winds which was a freak once in a 20 year event. But the tent stood up well indeed. The poles got bent. But I hope I can straighten them. I just stayed in the tent to weight it down. Improvements could be made. The internal living compartment is fully vented. I felt it when the cold wind blew! Maybe they could change this. Also the guy ropes/ string are red and black and could not be seen at night. I got annoyed with people tripping over them. So I am replacing them with fluorescent ones. The tent pegs are also a bit feeble. Decathlon could put better ones in.The orange aluminium ones they sell are much much better. Overall a great lightweight tent. People laughed at me when they saw it. But when I pushed my £2500 touring bike inside where it was protected from the rain wind and thieves and they had to leave theirs' outside.... I was the one who was laughing! The bike also fitted in lying down which was even better in the strong winds. Can be put up in 10 minutes. Much easier with two people. Much heavier than a one man tent. But I paid the price of the extra weight to get a worry free nights sleep on the 1000km trek. At this price also a ground sheet could be included. I bought this too and it worked very well indeed. With a few minor changes Decathlon could be the ultimate touring bike tent provider. Delivery was on time and staff were ultra helpful indeed.
      Light weight and spacious
A few mods could make it fab
    • 6 month cycle tour. 2 people, lots of stuff

      rob (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 1 year
this is a tent you can live in!! and it weighs less than many MUCH smaller tents. the negetives are a product of its lightness. the DAC poles are a little fragile at the ends, would like zip covers for the vents. really this is a 2 season tent but we made it stretch to three and it coped really well! the reason for the lost star is that the rear end of the tent is really difficult to get tensioned properly and usually requires repegging. also the poles are attached to the tent via small plastic rings supposedly to make things easier but instead catch on the poles and make it almost impossible for one person to erect the tent. a quick snip rectified the problem and made the tent much faster/easier to pitch(marked the middle long pole first!) also this is a tent that must be pitched with the guy lines out.

despite the negs i love this tent and the convenience of all that space. it also really fast to put up and pull down. i can't imagine spending 6 months in a smaller tent(with another person at least)!
loads of space, sit up comfortably. light. compact
      slighty too lightweight perhaps!!
