    • Good bike for the price

      Bobby (United Kingdom)
      Used for 3 to 6 months
      This bike has a good 10 speed drivetrain with plenty of range, so you don’t have to fiddle with the front derailleur. Also, the brakes provide plenty of stopping power, but there’s a problem with mine in particular that I’ve seen on several other reviews–LEAKING BRAKES! I’ll be bringing up mine to hopefully get it fixed under warranty. Aside from shifting and brakes, I think the tyres are not particularly great nor are they bad. They seem to have a soft compound that wears quickly, but has good grip. The only bad this about this bike would be the uncomfortable saddle, and of course, the leaky brake epidemic that seems to be happening to more than just a couple of people.
    • Great all-rounder

      Mike (United Kingdom)
      Used for 2 to 8 weeks
      So bought this bike as I wanted something for cycling around lakes, along canals and rivers, rather than road riding. Was a bit concerned as it only has 10 gears (many other brand equivalent bikes have double), but they are fine for the job. It's not the lightest bike, it's not the fastest (I feel like I lag behind and have to work harder when we do go on the road), but it is most at home on those country trails where it eats up dirt roads and footpaths with ease thanks to it's 38mm tires and the suspension. FYI my partner got a Boardman hybrid which was 2 kilos lighter and thinner 32mm tyres, which does go faster on tarmac roads, but is not as good (stable/fast) on the country trails - plus he got two punctures and my tyres were solid - so it's really about what you're looking to do with the bike. I think I made the right choice.
    • First impressions good

      Ok. Observations on first ride of my riverside 900;
      Gears (1x10) : 1 got me up every hill. 10 - could spin out on the flat
      Brakes (hydraulic discs) : oh yes serious stoppers. Managed to lock up at full speed downhill
