    Product feature
    1. Recommended temperature: -1°.
The "recommended" temperature refers to the ideal temperature for 75% of participants (neutral or slightly cool); 25% of participants state being a little cold, without it being unacceptable and consider the product suitable for the intended use.
    2. Limit temperature: -13°
The "limit" temperature is the temperature at which the item should be worn with caution as it is unsuitable for 2/3 of participants who feel cold. However, the item is still fine at this temperature for 1/3 of participants who do not feel hot or cold (neutral) as they are less sensitive to the cold - or can manage the cold, or those carrying out more intense activities.
    3. Down and feather inner wadding.
Recognised for their essential insulation properties, down and feathers have an unparalleled warmth-to-weight ratio. A feather/down lining is considered to be very compressible, light and warm and gives good insulation while remaining lightweight."
    4. Recommendation on thermal adjustment
Wearing the right kit on the ski slopes In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: Use 3 layers of fabric, each having a particular function. Your skiing base-layer and your liner jacket must produce and retain warmth. Your ski jacket will protect you from the weather conditions. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.
    5. Durability
We know how much energy is expended during a day's skiing or snowboarding. That’s why we take particular care in choosing all the elements that make up our products to guarantee the best possible protection.
    6. Ski pass pocket
You no longer need to get your ski pass out because your sleeve has a ski pass pocket to allow you to access the cable cars quickly.
    7. Snow skirt
The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press snaps at the bottom of the ski or snowboard jacket. It prevents snow and air from getting in when skiing and especially in case of a fall.
    8. Care instructions
Ideally, take your padded jacket to the dry cleaner's. You may also wash it in the washing machine + tumble dryer however the process is quite complex. Use the following link to see our machine washing recommendations video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuH0hy_0hA0"
    9. A mark to compare the environmental footprint of various products
The product's environmental footprint is calculated for its entire life and with various indicators. A score of A, B, C, D or E is made to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of a similar type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks). For Decathlon, this initiative to display environmental data is a priority. Video explanation: https://youtu.be/8t63KkRwn_8 sustainability.decathlon.com

    • Fine until it gets wet

      06/07/2018
      Julia (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
This jacket was brilliant for cold dry weather, but unfortunately I wasn't aware that this was down feather filled. As soon as it got wet (both with snow and a random down pour) it stank! It smelled so bad and just like wet dog that it had to be thrown away half way through the holiday, and a new jacket was hired for the remainder.
This jacket should have been taped seamed in order for it to function properly as a ski jacket
I'd recommend this is you can guarantee that it won't get wet, otherwise its not fit for the purpose of skiing
      Response of the brand
      Dear Madam,

Thank you for your feedback. Indeed, this jacket is merely water-repellent and meant as a warm jacket option. It is not suited for more than a light snowfall.

Our team is currently working on a new model of this jacket. It will be a similar product but will be waterproof and designed for skiing in different weather conditions.

We appreciate your feedback as we strive to keep creating better products for skiers.

      Have a nice day,
      Tea

      Response of the brand
      Hi Raman,

Thank you for your review of the Wedze Slide 300 Ski Jacket. I am sorry to hear about your displeasure with the jacket.
At Decathlon, we test our products not only in the lab but also in the field. That goes the same with the Wedze Slide 300 jacket.
However as the jacket is made for skiing on the slopes, the testing is also done while the test subjects are skiing. This means that if the jacket is comfortable for skiing at -15 degrees which is a high intensity sport, it may not be comfortable for the same temperature if the user is doing a less intensity activity e.g. walking or sitting idle.
The temperatures mentioned on the products are the comfort temperatures for the sport/activity they are designed for.
Furthermore, at times the cold sensation is due to windchill instead of the actual temperature, this can be avoided by putting a windproof layer on top.
Most down jackets are not windproof, therefore it's always good to have a wind jacket handy especially in the high mountains.

Please confirm whether you were skiing in Ladakh and felt uncomfortable while doing the activity.

Nonetheless, if you are still unsatisfied with our product, please feel free to return it to your nearest decathlon store as a part of our user satisfaction policy.

I am available in cause you have further doubts.

      Thanks and regards,

    • Amazing

I bought this jacket specially for my trip to Chicago where temperatures were around -18 C at that time. 1 thermal, 1 sweatshirt and this jacket, that's all that you need to survive in extreme winters. This is totally windproof as well. Great value for money.
