    Product feature
    1. How to measure tyre wear?
To measure the wear on your tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Tread starting to fray, the appearance of a series of micro cracks and low tread depth are signs of wear before the stage where the carcass becomes visible. In all these cases the tyre is worn and needs replacing.
    2. How to remove your tyre
To remove your tyre, you need to deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out. Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.
    3. How to put your tyre back on
To put your tyre back on, first start by inserting one side of the tyre into the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tyre (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, place the other side of the tyre into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tyre and the rim.
    4. How to inflate your tyre correctly
Inflate your tyre with caution. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of your tyre as well as on its product sheet (available online). Also, before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.
    5. Tip from the pros
When inflating your tyre, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and, above all, the weather conditions you will be riding in. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tyre pressure to increase the tyre's traction. If riding in dry weather, increase the pressure for higher performance. Also, before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.

Decathlon recommend for "occasional use" on "recreational rides" suggesting only up to a couple of 10 mile rides in the summer but I'd say they're better than that! Actually they are far better and longer lasting than what were supplied on my £800 hybrid mountain bike (not a Decathlon one), and after the first puncture in their 1,500 mile life I decided to replace the rear one that looked a bit worn, with the less stressed front one expected to easily do that 1,500 miles again. I mainly ride on the road but also do canal towpaths, and the tyres also got me through a 160 mile cycling holiday with panniers. The tread is decent for the road with a flat bit in the middle for low resistance, and unlike some cheap tyres I've seen they do look as though they are designed by someone who designs tyres! Easy to get on the wheel too.
