    4. The product benefit
Lycra cuffs + thumb loops on cuffs to prevent any heat loss.
    5. Recommended additional product
Care products: spray or liquid to reactivate water repellent properties. To restore the water repellent properties of the fabric and optimise the performance of the garment throughout its lifetime. We recommend using these products with each wash.
    6. Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind makes the perceived temperature drop considerably. With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C. The so-called “windproof” components cancel out this uncomfortable wind chill. By creating a barrier against the wind, they are very good at reducing heat loss.
    7. Water repellent property of the component (not to be confused with the waterproofing)
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. A fabric is made water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (after every wash). We sell products for this purpose in our stores. All the Quechua Softshell items have received a water-repellent treatment.
    8. How to restore the water repellent property?
      Follow the guide:
    9. Breathability
The main fabric used throughout the jacket, except at the sides, has a wind proof membrane with a breathability of 2814 g/m2 per 24 hrs (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).
    10. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall rating from A to E is provided to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers and backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental information of its products.
