    Product feature
    1. Bodymapping
X-Light is the number 1 TECHNOLOGY (Bodymapping) available in 2 MODELS: X-light 1 and X-Light 2. Available in 7 colours providing you with plenty of choice.
    2. Inflating Power of down/feather filling
For this down jacket filled 75/25, the inflating power of the down/feather is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 540 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
    3. The advantages of down filling and duck feathers * (for the back and front of the down jacket)
The swelling and long-lasting capacity of the down gives it 3 qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to trapped air in down and feathers - Ultra lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This enables less weight to be carried in the rucksack - Ultra compressible * Our feathers come from Chinese ducks reared for their meat, we collect the feathers after their slaughter.
    4. The advantages of synthetic down filling (for the arms, sides and hood)
The synthetic down (wadding) provides an interesting alternative to the feather: - it provides good thermal insulation even when wet - it provides a little breathability and may be recommended for dynamic activity (down is recommended for static or moderate activity)
    5. Care instructions for a down jacket with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking on the link below: How to wash and dry your down jacket ?
    6. In the event of rain
This down jacket fabric is water-repellent. It allows drops of water to roll over the fabric, which means it takes longer for water to penetrate the jacket, giving you time to get to shelter. But the jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over your down jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.
    7. Note regarding the light colour versions
The X-Light down jacket is made with a fine fabric in order to make it lightweight and compact. Please note that the feathers are slightly visible through the fabric of the light grey and yellow colour versions of the range.
    8. A way to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impacts of the product are calculated over its entire life cycle and with the variety of indicators. An overall ABCDE score is allocated to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

    • Not as warm as I thought it would be

      jyoti (India)
Used for 1 week or less
I bought this for my Kedarkantha trek where temperature ranges from 0 to -15 degree Celsius. Inspite of following the layering guide, i was always cold. I know that some people may be more susceptible to cold than others but compared to the layers and clothing others were wearing i thought i should have got something heavier than this. I like decathlon stuff but this is something i would not recommend. Product needs to be improved in terms of the warmth build.
    • Good for the price

      Deirdre (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
Bought this for my Daughter who is approx. a size12 but had to buy a large so sizing is small. My daughter loves this jacket and she says it is warm and cosy, which I think is impressive considering it is not expensive. She wears it to school and also for ski race training in an indoor ski centre. So good all rounder.

      Anjali (India)

I wore it only for 5 days and only at the first day, the feathers or whatever inside is started coming out. I really didn't expect this from this brand. I will be getting an exchange as I think it has a warranty for 1 year.
    • Light padded jacket

      anne (United Kingdom)

Was disappointed I couldn't get the turquoise in my size - bought the teal colour and love it! Lightweight, warm and stylish. A great jacket.
